Tracee Ellis Ross Found the Be-All and End-All of Power Suits, and Damn, She Looks Good
Tracee Ellis Ross has officially assumed her throne as the queen of suit style, so kindly join us in bowing down to her majesty. Just one day after pairing a cobalt blazer and pants with otherworldly yellow-soled sneakers, the Black-ish star rocked the coolest freakin′ power suit we′ve seen since David Bowie′s heyday for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
A straight-off-the-runway piece from Loewe′s spring/summer 2021 collection, Tracee′s suit featured a crisp navy blazer with puff-sleeved detailing around the wrists, but that wasn′t even the most unexpected part of her ′fit. The set came with billowing trousers so voluminous, we were surprised to see her walking rather than floating across the late-night stage to greet Jimmy. They exuded biiiig "parachute pants, but make it fashion" energy, and we′re very much here for it.
With input from stylist Karla Welch, Tracee accessorized her whimsical suit with pointed-toe Louboutin pumps and bold red earrings by Taylor Nikole. Once her epic #OOTD came together, Tracee had a full-on magazine-worthy photoshoot before heading out for her talkshow appearance, as one does.
